Why should my dog learn the 'Sit' command?

Teaching a dog or Puppy to 'Sit' has a lot of advantages to the doggie. In real life scenarios, Sit can be used for these and many more situations.

1. Acceptable form of greeting rather than jumping and running the risk of knocking people, especially the ederly and kids over!

2. Helps calm down the dog before an exicted activity. For Eg - Going out on a walk, Getting into a car, entering an elevator etc

3. Safety First - Sit can be literlly life saving if the doggie is taught to sit before crossing any road in combination with 'Stay' and 'Walking on the leash'
